March 2, 2026 | Calauan, Laguna – In line with its commitment to strengthen Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna, through Negosyo Center Calauan, successfully conducted a Financial Literacy and Business Licensing Seminar for Tyange MSMEs held at Brgy. Silangan, Calauan, Laguna.
Dubbed “Negosyo Mo, Sigurado Mo: A Guide to Finances and Legal Compliance,” the seminar gathered 20 local business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to strengthen their capabilities in budgeting, cash flow management, record-keeping, and sound financial decision-making.
Negosyo Center Business Counselor Dianne M. Piamonte led the discussions, emphasizing the critical role of proper financial management in improving business sustainability, enhancing competitiveness, and increasing access to financing opportunities. Participants were also guided through the step-by-step process of business registration, securing permits and licenses, and complying with local and national regulatory requirements.
The activity emphasized the importance of business formalization—not only to ensure lawful and sustainable operations, but also to enable MSMEs to access government programs, financial assistance, and market opportunities. Attendees were encouraged to register their business names to protect their brand identity and position their enterprises for long-term growth.
Through initiatives such as this, DTI Laguna continues to promote responsible entrepreneurship and foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and sound financial practice among local enterprises.
The seminar forms part of DTI’s broader efforts to drive grassroots economic development and build more resilient and competitive communities across Laguna. By equipping MSMEs with essential financial knowledge and guiding them toward proper business registration, DTI reaffirms its commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs and advancing inclusive, sustainable growth (DMPiamonte, DTI Laguna).
