Cavite conducts Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance Awarding Ceremony

On June 17, 2025, the Office and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (OPSWDO) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Cavite conducted the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance Awarding Ceremony at the New Provincial Capitol Building, Trece Martires City, recognizing the outstanding cities and municipalities in the province in implementing programs and services for the children’s rights and welfare.

Hon. Romel Enriquez – 1st District Board Member and PCPC Vice Chairperson, Ms. Precyl Ramos – OPSWDO Officer-in-Charge, and Atty. Rodolfo Uy III – Provincial Administrator congratulated the LGUs who worked hard to achieve the elusive award and lauded their valuable effort as child rights advocate. BM Enriquez added in his remark that the Provincial Government of Cavite will remain proactive in providing support to the children and youth sector.

Meanwhile, Mr. Joseph Ryan Geronimo – Cavite DILG Representative, stated that they encourage all LGUs to pass and achieve the SCFLG, as it demonstrates the dedication of a local government unit to improve the quality of life of children.

In closing, Mr. Enad Diaz, City of Carmona LCPC Focal Person, expressed his gratitude, saying “Ang tagumpay na ito ay simbolo ng mahusay na pamumuno at maayos na pamahalaan. Ito ay patunay ng ating tunay na malasakit para sa mga kabataan sa pagsusulong ng kanilang karapatan.”

The highlight of the event was the awarding of plaque and sixty-thousand cash incentive to 18 awardees – (1) City of Carmona; (2) Tagaytay City; (3) City of Imus; (4) City of Bacoor; (5) City of Dasmariñas; (6) City of Trece Martires; (7) Cavite City; (😎 City of General Trias; (9) Municipality of Naic; (10) Municipality of Amadeo; (11) Municipality of Noveleta; (12) Municipality of Ternate; (13) Municipality of Rosario; (14) Municipality of Mendez-Ñunez; (15) Municipality of Magallanes; (16) Municipality of Alfonso; (17) Municipality of General Mariano Alvarez; and (18) Municipality of Maragondon.—J.Reyes
