CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – By making voter registration more convenient, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has reported more than 600,000 new registrants in the CALABARZON region as voter registration continues.
As of April 11, COMELEC reported that it has processed around 3,909,644 applications nationwide with 642,217 applications coming from CALABARZON. It has the highest registration turnout among the regions.The region also reported the highest number of new female registrants with 333,973.
Aside from registrations in local election offices, the COMELEC also launched the Special Register Anytime/Anywhere program (SRAP) to encourage Filipinos to register as voters for succeeding elections.
This year’s Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) is slated on the first Monday of November 2026 following its postponement last December 2025.
Meanwhile, National and Local Elections (NLE) are scheduled in 2028. (PB-PIA CALABARZON/COMELEC)
