PGC Joins Cavite PNP’s One-Day Barangayanihan Caravan in Maragondon

The Provincial Government of Cavite (PGC), in collaboration with the Cavite Police Provincial Office, brought essential public services closer to the people of Maragondon through a medical mission conducted as part of the One-Day Barangayanihan Caravan held on June 26, 2025 at Barangay Sta. Mercedes in Maragondon, Cavite.

With around 200 residents benefitting from the activity, the PGC’s medical and dental team provided free consultations and health services, as well as free prescribed medicines, contributing to the government’s goal of ensuring accessible healthcare, especially in underserved areas.

The impact of the caravan was significantly enhanced by the active participation of various national agencies and offices, each contributing essential services to the local community. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) facilitated National ID registration and issued vital civil registry documents, including birth, marriage, and death certificates. The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) promoted its livelihood and vocational training programs, aiming to equip residents with employable skills. Meanwhile, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) offered job facilitation services and employment opportunities to individuals seeking livelihood support. The Philippine National Police (PNP) engaged with the community by providing legal consultations, offering free haircuts through their “Libreng Gupit” initiative, and sharing information on career opportunities within the PNP. Additionally, the event included a ceremonial turnover of medical equipment and essential medicines from Cavite PPO to the Rural Health Unit, strengthening its service capabilities. Complementing these services, the distribution of free slippers brought smiles to many residents, particularly children, highlighting the event’s commitment to both practical assistance and community well-being.

The multi-sectoral initiative exemplifies the commitment of the Provincial Government of Cavite and its partners to uplift the lives of Caviteños through accessible and integrated services. The medical mission, in particular, underscores the province’s continued prioritization of health and wellness as part of its core programs.
